I recently installed a Gen 2 Starlink, ethernet adapter and five ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System (XT8)
The install went very well using one Asus router as the primary router with StarLink in bypass mode and the rest as nodes. It went so well that I ordered three more of the ASUS routers to install for a friend. Following the exact same procedure I bypassed the Starlink router and connected one Asus XT8 as the primary router. Everything seemed to go well except I have no access to the internet. I tried a total of three Asus XT8 as routers with no joy. I have reset both the Starlink and Asus routers more times that I can count. I have replaces cables, Ethernet adapters, everything except the Starlink Router. The only difference is the second Starlink router is about a month newer than the one that worked so well. I now have three days into this project trying every combination that I can think of. I can not think of anything else to try.
Any suggestions would be appreciate!
I had the same issue. Asus XT8 as router in bypass mode. The network using the Asus router worked fine but I could not get Internet through the bypassed Starlink modem router. It seemed to allow a trickle of data but nothing usable. Later I tried the Starlink as the router and used the Asus XT8 in WAP mode only. Worked fine as a WAP but …… when I tried to connect any wired device to my LAN the Starlink router would not allow them to access the Internet and kicked them off the network (it was a Sonos Arc soundbar and LG OLED TV). Very disappointed.
Allen, did you ever fix the issues on the 2nd Asus Router setup? (I'm just trying to learn from others of course)
