This may have been covered before but I cannto see anyone with solutions yet so bringing this back up. The relates to Dishy Gen 2 home version with Starlink ethernet adaptor. No 3rd party routers are involved.
So....I just went to a customer's house as they said they cannot get their NVR to work on the cloud ever since they installed Starlink.
What I found was that their issues is that when they use the ethernet adaptor, they get no internet. WiFi works perfectly. This is the 2nd client to have this issue. WiFi works fine but plug in a device into the ethernet adaptor (be it a switch, a laptop, an Apple TV box)....refuses to work.
My first client replaced their Starlink Router with a new Starlink Router that Starlink sent them. Didn't change the adaptor though. That worked wel for 4 months (running multiple devices through a switch). Then, 3 weeks ago...boom! same issue. Now they have an entire new dish and router and all is working again.
Fast forward to today and this new client....same issue. Nothing will get an IP address out of the Starlink Router ethernet adaptor.
I first ensured the ethernet cable they used was working. Then I tried my own known working ethernet cable plugged into my laptop. Did an IP Config and I could see that the Gateway was 192.168.1.1 but my PC was not allocated an IP address. The is is the same behaviour I was getting when I plugged in the client's NVR set to DHCP. The device could get the gateway address but could not connect to the internet as the router wouldn't asign and IP address.
Surely I cannot be the only person in the entire world with this issue twice (well 3 times but with 2 different clients). The only common thing between these 2 clients is they live within a few KMs from each other.
Hi! I recently ordered furniture repair from Furniture Repair Services in Santa Barbara, CA, so I can share my experience. In fact, I have been looking for a company for a long time that could do a quality repair for my old furniture, because many repair shops, unfortunately, focus only on more modern pieces. I turned to them when my table that I bought a few years ago broke. It was made of a rather rare type of wood, and it was important to me that they fix it in a way that would not damage either the appearance or the structure. SantaBarbaraYP can really work with a variety of furniture, and this is not limited to new pieces. I even spoke with their craftsmen, and they explained that they often restore vintage and antique furniture, since such items require a more delicate approach. It was important to me that they use only natural materials for restoration and preserve the original style of the furniture, and they did an excellent job.
