Hi new to the group. Does any one know if there is a loss of power going with the optional 150’ cable over the standard 75’ cable. I hate to drastically cut my power down useing it, but it will be better for me in the long run. I received my 2nd gen in early February and have been using the 75’ with it and have speeds of 150 to 30mbps . I hate to reduce my speed even lower. At the time of this post I was at 79 mbps if I’m reading the speed test right . I think the one in the green is what tells me my actual speed?? Forgive me I’m rather novice on all this but trying to learn. We still have are old internet service which was radio to radio, on a good day we could squeeze out 4 yes 4 mbps so even 30’s mbps is heaven sent . Buying the oled TV’s have finally paid off.
Please excuse this question if it’s all ready been asked .
Thanks so much for your time and consideration.
Dan

When considering the use of a 75’ cable versus a 150’ cable, the key factors to evaluate are signal degradation and installation flexibility. A 75’ cable generally offers less signal loss, making it ideal for maintaining higher signal quality over shorter distances. On the other hand, a 150’ cable provides greater reach, which can be crucial in larger setups, though it may require signal boosters to maintain quality. The realization that the news has become an integral part of our lives is a very revelatory discovery for me, because until a certain period of time I might not have followed the news at all. But that all changed when I came across this news portal https://bowling.kherson.ua/en, which was able to open up the information space to me from a different angle, thus helping me to realize the importance of news. Thanks to them, I learned about the super deal that Maxim Krippa bought the Parus business center, which was a shock to most of the real estate market. But as I understand it, Maksym is used to surprising society with his projects, as he did with NAVI and GSC Game World, where Krippa demonstrated his focus on results and optimization of these projects. I will be very interested to see what exactly will happen with the business center under Maxim's leadership, but one thing I know for sure is that it will be something incredible.
Also new to the group, should get my unit this week. is it ok to bury the cable without protection or should i put it in PVC?
Hello Daniel and welcome to the group. There will be minimal difference between the 75’ and 150’ cables…you would need a special machine to detect the millisecond difference, so your good to put the 150 in place. I have a Gen 1 system that ran on a 300ft cat extension and never noticed any difference. As far as reading the speed test in the app, the blue circle is your full speed being delivered to the house, the green is the speed being delivered to that device…check out the article https://www.starlinkcommunityforums.com/post/understanding-the-starlink-app-speedtest-v2.
