I don't really understand routers but supposedly if I hook up my computer straight to the ethernet cable, I will get better, more reliable service. But my main question is: If I do hook my computer up with an ethernet cable and possibly a new routher, will my family still have wifi? Or do I have to shut down wifi to hook up with the ethernet cable?

Hi Steven,
Yes you can hardwire to your computer through an Ethernet cable and you will still have your Wi-Fi. If you are talking about replacing the Starlink router with a new one that will work in most cases as well. If you put in a different router that has more Ethernet ports on the back of it then you will be able to hardwire multiple devices if need be. If you have the Ethernet adapter for your Starlink router then it’s just a matter of running an Ethernet cable from the one open port on the adapter to whatever device you want to hardwire and your Wi-Fi connection will remain the same as before.
