I purchased Starlink RV in the US and had it shipped to the Bahamas. Now I'm wondering if it's gonna let me set it up here in the Bahamas since I purchased it in the US? -- Hasn't even arrived yet so I'm hoping that if there's an issue with the region (US vs Bahamas) ...that I might be able to rectify the discrepancy before ever attempting to log on. OR...HOPEFULLY.... I can just plug it in and it'll see that I'm in the Bahamas and network accordingly. All help appreciated. Ron

Not a problem! Maybe I read it wrong.. Yes when you first ordered the Starlink a registered service address has to be inputted and it will only work in that location. The way around it is turning on the portability option I mentioned in the previous comment and you will be able to travel with the Starlink within your continent and have service in the Bahamas, etc. Is the system staying permanently in the Bahamas?
Hi Ron, If you are moving between countries on the same continent then you can turn on the “portability” option in your Starlink app and this will cost an extra $25 ($30CAD) each month and can be disabled at any time. This gives you the ability to move around and still have service (although speeds can vary). Once you are back at home you can turn the portability service off and resume with the regular plan at your registered service address.
