I live in a UK national park, an area which is subject to strict planning rules. Has anyone painted the rear of the dish, Black/Dark grey to make it less obtrusive/visible. Property is Grade 2 listed so fixing to blend with environment is important.

Good question, I have not seen any painted systems yet…but if it is the back only then you won’t effect the signals coming in, what you might effect though is the heat transferring out. Being in the UK I would think that your no where near as hot as the Southern States so my guess would be you should be fine for heat as well. You could always run a thermometer before and after to see the difference in heat dissipation. Hope this helps:)
