I have a large 10 acre property and have an ASUS router setup in the house for the family. I would like to setup another router out in my hobby/shop for just me with my own network. Is this possible? I have the Gen 2 dishy with ethernet adapter connected to a giga switch and then to router. My attempts so far have failed. I was able to configure the second ASUS router in the shop, setup second network but no internet.
Please help.

I haven't disabled DHCP on the router in the shop or the one in the house. Could that possibly be the problem? Could you please elaborate more on this?
This is on the ASUS router in the shop FYI
Hi Jeffrey, If you configured the router already and disabled the DHCP, etc.. then you may have to plug your Ethernet cable from the switch into one of the LAN (Ethernet) ports to allow internet pass through instead of the WAN (internet) port. I have seen this work with quite a few different router brands.
