DirecTV Stream with Starlink
I get the following error message when I try to run the DirecTV stream via FireTV: "Looks like we ran into trouble loading this content. Please try again on a bit" It works with my old internet copper connection 10 MBs; Starlink download speed runs between 70 Megabits per second and 100 Megabits per second and I can stream Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies and my while my kid plays online games. Solution???
I already asked over at the DirecTV forum but have not seen a solution.
I recently attempted to set up DirecTV Stream using Starlink for internet service, hoping to enjoy seamless streaming in my rural area. While it was a bit tricky initially, I found that using the best VPN for Hulu helped resolve buffering issues. Once everything was configured, I was thrilled to access my favorite shows without interruption. If you're considering this setup, don't hesitate it's worth the effort for reliable entertainment on the go.
Did you ever find a solution? I live in south Sweden, and all was fine until about two weeks ago, when I was starting to have major issues when streaming live TV. I have a LG smart TV and also an Appel TV box and same issue with both. Same with routers, it doesn’t matter if I use my normal Peplink or the Starlink one that came in the box. Watching films and shows is fine, I only get this issue with live TV. Switching to terrestrial 4G solves all issues immediately, but is very expensive. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I am having the same problem. everything worked fine until a few weeks ago. I live in the Los Angeles area.
Hi Ray, welcome to the community. It is possible your Starlink router has some settings that are restricting access to DirecTV via your FireTV. Another thing to check is whether all your apps and firmwares are up to date on the FireTV as this can cause compatibility issues depending on the age of equipment. I’m sure you have done this but doing a power cycle on any technology involved (router, Dishy, FireTV, etc) is a good place to start and has solved a lot more issues than I care to admit!
Is your Starlink system a Gen 1 (round) or Gen 2 (rectangle)?
