Our 6 month old dish (V2) went down in November and we just got back online. After waiting a week for support to respond to our ticket, the solution was to send us all new equipment (router, cable, adapter). We think the problem has been heating of the dish corrupting the cable.
So now we are trying to decide what settings to use so this doesn't happen again. What setting do you choose for HEAT - automatic? pre-heat? Off? We've got it off right now and because this dish is at our cottage, we aren't always around to melt the snow on demand. Would love your suggestions.
Hi Jane, From our experience I would recommend setting the dish to “auto” as it will keep the snow and ice, etc clear off the Dishy face but not stay on permanently to avoid overheating when the heating function is not needed. You can also remotely access your system through the Starlink app and only turn it on “pre-heat” when the weather gets nasty in your area (that is if you can check the weather near or at your cottage when away). Hope this helps! Let me know if you need further clarification or whether this answered your question.
