Thanks so much for your reply. I have my pc working and my new Ooma voip telephone but I don't know what the other user is. Why are they not 5g? I didn't know enough to know my system is fine.

Hello Peter, welcome to the community! It actually sounds like everything is working well. You have definitely done some homework, the fact that you can identify that your devices are on the 2.4Ghz network means that they will be running around 1/3rd the speed of your 5Ghz band(within range) So lets say you get a download test of 40Mbps on a 2.4Ghz Device, in theory a 5Ghz with great signal will probably pull 120Mbps speeds(3X the amount). So it sounds like to me your network is fine, now that being said your probably asking this question because of an issue in the network other then slow speed test? Is there a device having connection issues, or the speed doesn't seem fast enough? Let me know a little more about your situation and I'll try to help.
