Starlink replaced that router. In my communications with Starlink (they actually called me) it was never supposed to get into the public domain. SP Red Test Only was an engineering diagnostic for in-house testing. Whether it redirects you back to the main network I am not sure, what I can confirm is that it allowed you to access the router software.

Been thinking about it more, I received one of the first production runs of the Gen 2 dish (rectangle). SP Red Test is likely a diagnostic SSID that would be used to enter the Linux (I assume) environment for testing. It was likely never meant to ship with that diagnostic, hence they want it back. They likely don't want the general public being able to easily access their proprietary software.

If anyone else is having this issue, contact Starlink and they will resolve it.

Oh and WP3 is not supported at this time. This is an issue they are apparently working on. (I hope they get it figured out, because WPA2 is incredibly easy to access)

OK, well that was interesting. I got a call from Starlink. I mentioned that if they could not resolve this SSID being broadcast from my router, I would use the tools I have to access it. Long story short, they are sending me a new router. This is a "known issue" but he could not say more. I do have to say, the response was timely and they resolved it quickly. Haha I get the inclination that there is more to this story though.

I ordered, and it was on my doorstep within two weeks. I feel for those that have been waiting though. I think it's mostly due to my northern latitude and rural setting. I only know of one other Starlink user here and he is about 25 miles away as the crow flies.

Yes everything is up to date and yes I know this is coming from the Starlink router for several reasons 1) I have no neighbors, 2) it has shown up ever since getting Starlink and goes away when the router is off. Support got back to me with a generic non-answer: Justin Mowers6/18/22 There is no option to open a new ticket, and I can't seem to interact with support on starlink.com at all. I have two questions: 1) The Wpa3 slider on the app has disappeared, is wpa3 still supported? 2) There is an SSID called SP Red Test Only. It is being broadcast from the Starlink router and it is a security concern, as I can't remove it and I do not know how secure the password for it is. Can that SSID be removed? @Fitzy M Yeah the second Gen Dish does not come with an ethernet port. It's 20 bucks for the add on.

Also for reference, I am in Northern Maine, a few miles from the border with N.B.

Just got mine today, I have second Gen dish. Very well built and for having a storm today and just setting the dish on my truck, it's been working great. DL has been anywhere from 100-260 Mbps, upload is 15-20 mbps, ping is sitting around 30-50. It's just wifi for now, as I am waiting for them to ship the ethernet port. Until i can get the poll up, the dish is seeing about 2% of the sky blocked.
